Easy Honey-Baked Chicken Tenderloin
Today, it’s all about my honey-baked chicken tenderloin recipe. Do you love recipes where you can just make a quick dinner at the last minute? Well, grab some chicken tenderloin, and let’s make this for dinner.
My family loves this recipe because the chicken is moist and tender all in one bite. You can bake this meal while you fold the laundry or do any other tasks that fill your day. It’s a win-win easy recipe. If the meat is fresh you can make dinner in less than an hour.
If it’s frozen it will take a few more minutes. Just remember to use your meat thermometer. It should register 165 degrees F. in the thickest part of the meat.
Step One
Preheat the oven to (425°F) = (218°C) degrees. Grab a 9 by 13-inch (2-3 inches high) baking dish and cover the bottom and the sides with foil and spray vegetable oil on the foil. Place the chicken tenderloins evenly over the bottom. This is the pan shown in my recipes: Baking Dish
Make the sauce by measuring the honey, soy sauce, ginger, and garlic in a medium bowl. My honey is getting thicker, so I microwaved the bowl for about 2 minutes to soften the honey. Then I was able to mix it together a little easier.
Step Two
Pour the sauce over the chicken tenderloin pieces until they are covered and bake them for 30 minutes (uncovered).
After 30 minutes remove the pan from the oven and turn the chicken tenderloin pieces over and bake for another 10-15 minutes.
Finished Product
You will see the sauce starts to caramelize on the chicken. Remove from the oven, and let the chicken sit/rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Please use a meat thermometer to test the largest piece of chicken tenderloin. When it registers 165 degrees F. on an instant thermometer, it’s done.
What can I serve with these?

Here again, the USDA and U.S. Food and Drug Administration state the longest we should store properly wrapped cooked chicken in the frig is 3-4 days.

Chicken tenderloins are actually thin slices of breast meat.

You can for sure freeze these for another meal. I like making a large pan so I can just reheat a few chicken pieces for another night’s meal. Be sure and freeze them in an airtight container, or use your FoodSaver.

Final Word
I had so much fun making my easy honey-baked chicken tenderloin pieces today. Here’s the deal, it’s all about showing people how easy it is to cook dinner at home.
There is something awesome about stocking your freezer with meat that’s been discounted or on sale. Then, if you have the other side dishes in the pantry or the refrigerator, dinner can be made in under an hour.
It’s all about being prepared to fix meals at home and save money at the same time. May God bless this world, Linda
I get what this will tastes like as I’ve eaten chicken like this. Only problem for my home is the sodium. As I have mentioned before, I’d substitute the soy sauce with Kitchen Bouquet and a little squirt or two of Worchester sauce and maybe just a few drops of low sodium soy sauce.
I like the idea of white rice, although, that’s also an issue in my house so we don’t eat a lot of it. But with juicy, flavorful meats, rice is just so, so good.
