Quick & Easy Salad Dressing Recipes From Scratch
Would you love some quick and easy salad dressing recipes made from scratch? It’s that time of year when I think of pasta, marinara, and salads. Of course, homemade salad dressing is yummier than bottled stuff, right? In the time you grab a processed bottle of salad dressing from the refrigerator and shake it up you could make a bottle of dressing from scratch. And you will know what’s in the dressing you are eating because you made it with ingredients you choose. Buy some pint jars at garage sales if possible or online, then they will be washed and ready to use: Ball Jar Mouth Pint Jars with Lids and Bands, Regular, Set of 12
These are the white lids you see in some of the posts that I use with my dressings: Ball Regular Mouth Jar Storage Caps Set of 8They are plastic and will not corrode with use.

College Days Tomato Soup Salad Dressing (similar to Catalina)
- 1 condensed can of tomato soup
- 1/2 sugar
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1-1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
- Dash of garlic powder
-
Combine all of the ingredients in a Magic Bullet or blender. Serve over a salad, it’s great with a taco salad too. You make a taco salad with chopped lettuce, olives, diced tomatoes, grated cheese, black beans (drained), can of corn (drained) and some tortillas chips, crushed. Pour the dressing over and mix it all together. It’s a great summer salad.

Linda,
Thanks so much for these recipes, especially the Ranch Dressing. All commercial Ranch Dressings contain MSG which makes me violently ill. Hellman’s makes a Ranch Dressing that does not contain MSG but is almost impossible to find at retail. I will definitely be using your recipe to make my own.
Hi Harry, I’m so glad you like my recipes. I like fresh salad dressing so it works for me. I can smell the store bought salad dressings after they sit in the frig for a week and they taste and smell rancid to me. My husband thinks they taste fine but I don’t. You can always add other spices to your liking. Fresh is awesome! Thanks for stopping by, Linda
